Polynesian Cultural Center...Take 1 & Motsumoto's Shaved Ice

The Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) was offering an amazing deal. If you were a resident (or military here on orders) you could buy a season pass for 1/2 price during the month of May. So we went with our friends, the Walkers, to go and buy passes and go play for the afternoon. David wasn't too happy about going. It was a long drive, and it was going to cost a lot of money (not really though. It would be less than $100 for season passes for all of us). But he was a good sport, and went along with it.

But first....we must stop at Motsumoto's and get a shaved ice!! The line was long, but they certainly had a system in place for moving it along quickly. Oh my gosh, it was so yummy!!! I got mine with the beans in it. Never had it that way before, so I thought I'd try it this time. Yeah, not so much. Next time I'll just stick with ice cream on the bottom only, and get a small. The large is huge!

Okay, so back to the PCC. We get there, and the kids are really excited. We go up to buy tickets, and it's then that I remember that we have to have proof to show that we live in Hawaii. Duh! And did we have anything in the car? Nope! The Walker's had a copy of their orders in their car, but we had NOTHING. Aw, man!! No PCC today. :-(

We parted ways with the Walkers and headed home. But, David stopped at a beach on the way. And, being the smart Momma that I am, I had a bag in the back of the van with swim suits in it. So the boys changed in the back of the van and we went to play in the water for about 30 minutes. Yay for doing something fun today after all!
